Resilience Briefing on Capital Hill
Resilience is getting an increasing amount of attention in the public policy sphere. Case in point, last week, Jared Blum moderated a briefing on Capitol Hill focused on “Hidden in Plain Sight: Why Resilient Buildings are Critical U.S. Infrastructure.” The briefing explored what makes buildings resilient; why resilience is important for multiple policy challenges; and how public-private collaboration can benefit society now and well into the future by supporting a resilient built environment.
Reed Ribble spoke on behalf of NRCA, and was joined by Debra Ballen, General Counsel of IBHS and Paul Totten, Vice-President of WSP USA Engineering and Design.
